This role is ideal for a professional who already possesses a robust network of global clients and contacts in the shipping industry, and has a strong track record of successfully fixing cargoes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leverage existing relationships with global clients to expand our business in the dry cargo sector.
- Identify and engage new charterers, effectively introducing and promoting our company’s services.
- Negotiate and finalize contracts for the transportation of dry bulk commodities, demonstrating expertise in market rates and trends.
- Consistently achieve and surpass targets through effective client management and new business development.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, including ship owners, operators, charterers, and broker to ensure successful shipping operations.
- Handle complete operational and post-fixture for the vessels fixed
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the dry bulk market, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.
- Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and company policies.
- Prepare and deliver regular performance reports and market insights to the management team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in dry cargo brokerage, with a proven track record of fixing cargoes and developing client relationships.
- Existing network of global contacts in the shipping industry.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to work independently and in a remote setting, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
